Biography

Dinmuchammed Qanatuly Qudajbergen better known under his performer name Dimash Kudaibergen(ov) was born on the 24th of may 1994 in Aqtobe in the Western part of Kazakhstan. His parents are Dinmuchammed Qanatuly Qudajbergen and Svetlana Ajtbajeva. His parents are both "honoured artists of culture in their country". He has a younger sister Raushan and a younger brother Abilmansur. Dimash grew up for the most part of his life with his grandparents. He went to Zhubanov Music College where he learned to play piano and dombra (a national well known 2 snare instrument). Later he went to the Kazakh National University of Arts. In his teens he won several singing contests in both Kazakstan and abroad.
In 2015 he represented Kazakhstan on the Slavanski Bazaar. He survived the half finals and ended up as the 10th in the final rounds. On the first day he got 89 points for his delivery of Opjat metel from Konstantin Meladze. The 2econd day he got 86 points for his performance of SOS d'un terrien en détresse from Daniel Balavoine. He won the Grand Prix. He was the first Kazakh who won this competition. He performed Daididau at the closing ceremony of the Slavanski Bazaar. Due to his winning at the Slavanski Bazaar he was making an appearance at the ABU TV Song Festival 2015 and performed Daididau again.
In 2017 he was invited to compete in the Chinese program Singer 2017 broadcasted by Hunan TV. He won the first round performing SOS d'un terrien en détresse and Opera 2 a song by a Russian singer Vitas. Both songs created international fame and millions of views on Youtube. Eventually he ended up second after the Hongkong singer Sandy Lam. During the Top Chinese Music Awards in 2017 he won in the categorie Most Populair Azian Singer.
On the 27th of june 2017 Dimash had his first solo show in the Astana Arena. The show lastet 4 hours. At the concert were approximately 30.000 people. Loreen, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Kristina Orbakaite andTerry Lin were support-acts during this concert.
Prestigious awards : 4 Grand Prix of the Slavanski Bazaar in Kazakhstan and Best Asian Popular Singer- Chinese Top Music Award (equivalent of Grammys). Dimash is influenced and inspired by Michael Jackson, Ermek Serkebaen, Celine Dion and Lara Fabian. He is tall (1.91m) and weighs 60 kg. has darrk-brown hair and eyes. Zodiasc sign: Gemini. He has approximatelly 1.5 M followers on Instagram.
He sang in many different languages such as : Kazakh, Russian, English, French, Chinese, Turkish, Ukranian, German, Italian, Serbian. His vocal range is incredible: lowest bariton to highest soprano and whistle register. Alongside music, Dimash loves sports particualar Taekwondo, soccer, basketball and swimming. Dimash loves poetry and has written some poems himself.
He has just given concerts in Düsseldorff, St. Petersburg and New York. In March 2020 he would have given concerts in Germany and the Tjech Republic, but due to Corona everything has been postponed.

On the 16th of january 2021 Dimash held an online concert. Of this concert several performances have been published. Dimash released some new songs: Fly Away, Stranger and Ave Maria. I hope he can start giving concerts more often.
